Slow Sphinx 1.10 DX Providers with Lazarus -
I wonder is it just for me or also for others the Basic Lazarus demo gives average 20 FPS in Windowed mode while using DX7 or DX9 providers?
I am using Lazarus 0.9.31 + FPC 2.4.4 (stable)
Windows XP SP3 (32bit) and Intel GMA HD so I suppose there is something wrong with Video card drivers. The OpenGL provider works really smooth in Windowed and Fullscreen modes.
The Vsync doesn't makes a different. I may try older Sphinx version and older Lazarus IDE since earlier all demos worked
in smooth 60 FPS limit that I provided.
Since you are saying that both DX7 and DX9 providers are giving you low FPS ratings, it must be a bug in video drivers, although usually it's OpenGL that should be troublesome on Intel video cards.
Make sure to download the latest Intel video drivers (use Intel's site directly). Also check if you are running any Windows styling programs such as Windows Blinds, which may be slowing the rendering process.
